At E.L., Inc., my mission is to inspire young minds through engaging and educational children's literature. I strive to create books that nurture creativity, spark imagination, and cultivate a lifelong love for reading.
After earning my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral Analysis from the University of Houston, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a focus on International Business, I felt called to bring my passion for storytelling to life. That journey led me to create illustrated children's books designed to spark curiosity, ignite new ideas, and encourage both readers and listeners to dream boldly and craft stories of their own.
What If A Rock Could Grow Flower Petals is a poetry collection inspired by a simple, beautiful ritual shared with my younger daughters, Viki and Lizi. From the time they were toddlers until about age nine, our neighborhood walks and family hikes became small adventures. Along the way, they would gather flowers for me and rocks for their father—tiny treasures chosen with love and intention. No matter where we were, they wanted each of us to receive something special from them.
One day, I wondered what it might look like if those two gifts—flowers and rocks—were combined. That spark of curiosity grew into the heart of this book. The symbolism is what I cherish most: a flower often represents softness, beauty, and growth, while a rock symbolizes strength, stability, and protection. Through a child’s imaginative lens, this book explores what it might mean for those qualities to exist together as one.
This collection invites young readers to keep imagining, keep wondering, and keep asking, “What would it look like?” by using simple, everyday objects to open the door to creativity.
Pauly Walley Crocodile Goes to the Dentist is a gentle, reassuring story about a kindhearted crocodile who experiences his very first toothache. Through Pauly’s adventure, children are invited to see that it’s perfectly normal to feel afraid—and that our community can help us feel safe, supported, and understood. Sometimes, with a little help, fear and pain can become much easier to face.
My hope is to encourage children to speak up when something doesn’t feel right, whether physically or emotionally, and to trust the caring people around them. This story was inspired by my two oldest sons, Paul and David, who, when they were young, were always helpful, friendly, and trusting toward everyone they met.
This is a children’s book that reminds us all: it’s okay to be afraid sometimes.

Kateesha the Koaiger Climbs Her Favorite Tree follows a delightful young Koaiger—half koala, half tiger—who loves nothing more than climbing her favorite tree to see what wonders the world has to offer. Each day of the week, Kateesha makes her climb and uses the ABCs to point out different animals doing all sorts of fun and surprising things. Filled with rhyme, rhythm, and vibrant primary and secondary colors, this book invites children to explore language, color, and imagination all at once.
Join Kateesha each day of the week as she climbs her favorite tree and journeys through the ABCs to discover what she can see from up high.
